Christopher Parkinson, DDS, M.S

As an orthodontist, Dr. Parkinson is specially trained in the art of straightening teeth and creating beautiful smiles. Dr. Parkinson completed his dental training at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, after which he completed two years of advanced training in orthodontics at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. The recipient of numerous scholastic awards during his training, Dr. Parkinson demonstrates the same level of dedication and passion for orthodontics in the treatment of his patients. Dr. Parkinson takes an active role in meeting and exceeding the standards of his profession. He is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Washington State Dental Association and the Benton-Franklin Dental Society. Dr. Parkinson is committed to maintaining a state-of-the-art facility, utilizing the most current technologies available. To remain up to date with the latest advancements in orthodontics, Dr. Parkinson and his staff frequently attend continuing education seminars.
In addition to his professional activities, Dr. Parkinson enjoys spending time with his wife, Heather, and their four children: Haley, Brendon, McKenna and Madi. Together they sponsor and participate in local youth sports and enjoy the great outdoors. Dr. Parkinson is an avid hunter, fisherman and scuba diver.
Dennis Turner, DMD-Orthodontist

Dr. Dennis Turner graduated from the University of Oregon Dental School in 1966, with a class standing of second in a class of 88 students. He also won four of the five special annual awards given to dental school graduates. He then served in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps for three years with much of his time being spent at sea on the USS Arlington. He received his Master of Science in Dentistry Orthodontics from the University of Washington Dental School in 1971. Dr. Turner has twice served as the President of the Eastern Oregon Dental Society. Dr. Turner began his private practice in LaGrande, Oregon in 1971, and continued to practice there as well as Baker City, Enterprise, Pendleton and Hermiston. His practice is now focused in the Hermiston and Pendleton area.
Children and family life have always been very important to Dr. Turner. He is the past President of the LaGrande Lions Club, past member of the LaGrande School Board, Little League Coach and Cub Scout Leader. Dr. Turner is married and he and his wife, Brenda, have five children.
Braces Orthodontics has a combined practice within our Hermiston, Oregon location as well as a second facility in Pendleton, Oregon.
A Kidz Dental Zone
A Kidz Dental Zone is the sister company to Advanced Pediatric Dentistry. A Kidz Dental Zone is the only Pediatric Dental provider throughout the Columbia Gorge, and from Portland to our Advanced Pediatric Dentistry office in Hermiston. As with Advanced, Kidz mission is to always do the right thing for the child! They are the first practice in our company and they offer full Pediatric Dentistry as well as Orthodontics. Our two doctors are: J. Kyle House, DDS and Steven Wohlford, DMD, both are Pediatric Dentists.
